Council 1387 the "Mother" Council in Sudbury
1897: On Nov. 25, 1897, Canada’s first council — Montreal Council 284 — is chartered.
We are the oldest Council in the city of Greater Sudbury.
We can count Sudbury's founding fathers in our history from the city's first Mayors to Judges, doctors, and lawyers to Sudbury business people, INCO miners to teachers.
Our Council, today and in the past helped build Sudbury.
Named after the late Fr Brian McKee, we are based out of Sudbury's downtown church Christ The King Parish,Our Lay of Hope Parish as well as St Mary's Ukranian Parish, also in the downtown.
